03Context

I did not arrive at Quantize as a marketer. I arrived as a designer. RRGFX, the publicity and graphic design studio I founded in 2015, became part of Quantize Music Entertainment and evolved into QMGFX. Around the same period I developed Brikkho Films, which grew into the audiovisual side of the same work.

So the brief widened on its own. It started at artwork and ended somewhere much closer to how a release actually reaches people.

04Challenge

A release is not a cover. An artist puts out a track and the artwork is one visible surface on top of a much longer chain: the story being told, the audience it is for, the moment it lands, the platforms carrying it, and the reason anyone should care on the day.

Design alone does not move any of that.

05Insight

Culture moves through artists, stories, communities, timing and relentless execution. Not through assets.

Once that was obvious, I stopped thinking about what people would see and started thinking about the artist, the audience, the launch, the timing, the distribution, and the reason someone should care in the first place.

06Idea

Treat every release as a campaign rather than a cover. Build the visual world and the way it reaches people as one piece of work, from the same starting point: what this song is actually about.

And where a story needed more than a still frame, make the film.

07Execution

Across four years: release artwork and visual direction for artists, campaign material, social and content production, and audiovisual production through Brikkho Films.

Release artwork & visual direction

Cover artwork, campaign visuals and the surrounding assets for artist releases, built to hold together as a world rather than as one-off images.

Artist campaigns

Launch and release communication: sequencing what goes out, in what order, on which platform, and how each piece sets up the next.

Film & audiovisual production

Production and post-production on dramas and short films, including Mon Oborodh, Jolghori and Golpota Emoni Bhalo, distributed on YouTube.

09Outcome

Four years of continuous output: a catalogue of artist releases with their visual worlds, campaign material around each launch, and a run of dramas and short films that went out on YouTube.

The more useful outcome was personal. Working across design, music and film in the same building made one thing obvious, and it is still how I work: all of it is the same discipline, and the thing holding it together is storytelling.

10My role

Marketing, artist campaigns, content production and visual direction, 2020 to 2024, through QMGFX for design and Brikkho Films for audiovisual work.

Design and visual direction were mine end to end. On film I worked in production and post-production alongside the directors credited on each title. Brikkho Films continues today as an independent company within the Rabby Raz creative ecosystem.
